This October, the world’s leading and most inspirational artists and designers meet up in the Dutch capitol of design, Eindhoven and the German capitol of creativity, Berlin, to share their knowledge, skills and inspirations.
Playgrounds The Art Department Eindhoven, held in Klokgebouw, the Netherlands on October 3rd and 4th and Playgrounds The Art Department Berlin, held in Vollgutlager, Germany on October 10th and 11th, focus on bringing educational opportunities and industry knowledge to artists working in film, animation and games - from character design, concept art and background visuals to props, rigging and robotics. In short, Playgrounds is a deep dive into the artistry that makes screen visuals come alive.

Procreate will bring several guest artists to speak at Playgrounds, including sci-fi fantasy concept artist Stéphane Bourez, and freelance illustrator and concept artist, Ramón Nuñez. Both guest artists will be undertaking a mainstage talk and demonstrating Procreate during both events.
The two events also feature a stellar speaker line-up of international talents including Bastien Grivet and Jessica Rossier from Wardenlight Studios, who helped create the punchy and colourful world of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse; Jama Jurabaev, a concept artist who has worked on a myriad of recent blockbuster films including Jurassic World, Aladdin and Terminator 2; Loish, whose unique and emotive character art has been featured by Coca-Cola and Sony; Laika, the studio behind Kubo and the Two Strings; Guerrilla Games, developer of the innovative post-apocalyptic adventure game Horizon Zero Dawn, and freelance fantasy artist, Even Mehl Amundsen.
